This wiki is being developed and maintained by a number of organizations, local agencies and individuals that are concerned with promoting physical activity through and with schools.
The wiki has been started by the Canadian Association for School Health as part of its efforts to maintain the Canadian School Health Knowledge Network. For more information, go to www.safehealthyschools.org

This wiki attempts to capture information related to national and provincial and territorial activities in the following key areas:
Although not the focus of this scan, a few international examples have also been provided. This environmental scan is a work in progress that overviews the relevant past, current and planned activities that the provincial, territorial and federal governments as well as national and PT non-governmental organizations and agencies are undertaking.
The information was collected primarily from a Web-based search, existing relevant sources of data (e.g. other environmental scans that have been done by different jurisdictions) and through a review process involving provincial, territorial and federal government representatives for education, health/health promotion and sport.
